DOJ Technical Assistance Letters
$30.25
Between 1991 and 1995, the Department of Justice (DOJ) received over 600 letters requesting information on the ADA. Below are brief descriptions of the correspondence. Each letter contains a "boilerplate" paragraph similar the this one:

"The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) authorizes the Department of Justice to provide technical assistance to individuals and entities having rights or obligations under the Act. This letter provides informal guidance to assist [you] in understanding the ADA's requirements. It does not , however, constitute a legal interpretation, and it is not binding on the Department."

To be as concise as possible, we did not include many of the qualifiers that appear in the text of the letters. Also, we did not include in each summary all the repeatedly asked and answered questions. Therefore, read entire categories to understand the breadth of the issues.
