The ADA Design Assistant software runs seamlessly with Auto-Architect® from Softdesk, Inc. to avoid the most expensive and most common errors designers make. Use standard Windows menus, toolbars and entry screens, making it easy to learn and use. Immediate warnings are issued for values out of range and recommendations appear at design decision points.

The program was created by SK Software, whose members were former developers of Auto-Architect, and by Evan Terry Associates, a nationally recognized architectural firm specializing in accessibility compliance. Softdesk, Inc. cooperated by including links to ADA Design Assistang code checking in Auto-Architect Version S7.5 or 8.0.

Initally the ADA was enforced by private suits brought by disabled persons. The headlines are now full of suits initiated by the U.S. Dept. of Justice on their own initiative.
